Before proceeding, please take the time to carefully review the following Terms and Conditions, including our Non-Disclosure Agreement. By utilizing our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to comply with the terms outlined below.

• Service Overview: Kjetil Strandos provides translation services from English, Swedish and Danish to Norwegian, specializing in technical and financial domains. Our services encompass the translation of various documents, including but not limited to technical manuals, handbooks, marketing materials, and financial documents.
• Payment Terms: Payment for our translation services is to be made as per the agreed-upon terms. We accept payments through bank transfer or by paypal, and details will be provided upon project confirmation. All fees are quoted in Euro. Other currencies must be agreed upon by a case-by-case basis.
• Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure: As a client of Kjetil Strandos, we recognize the importance of confidentiality. All information provided for translation purposes, including but not limited to documents, files, and communications, will be treated with the utmost confidentiality. To formalize this commitment, we operate under a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).

  •NDA Scope: The NDA covers all information shared with Kjetil Strandos during the course of our business relationship. This includes, but is not limited to, source documents, translated content, project details, and any other proprietary information.
  
  •NDA Duration: The confidentiality obligations under the NDA will continue indefinitely beyond the completion of the project.
  
  •Third-Party Involvement: Kjetil Strandos ensures that all individuals involved in the translation process are bound by the same confidentiality obligations.

• Quality Assurance: Kjetil Strandos is committed to delivering high-quality translations. We strive to ensure accuracy, linguistic precision, and cultural relevance in all our translations. If you have any concerns about the delivered work, please contact us promptly, and we will address them in a timely manner.
• Project Delivery: We aim to meet agreed-upon project deadlines. Any delays due to unforeseen circumstances will be communicated to the client promptly. However, we are not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control.
• Intellectual Property: Upon receipt of full payment, the client retains the intellectual property rights to the translated content. Kjetil Strandos reserves the right to showcase completed projects for promotional purposes unless otherwise specified in writing by the client. The NDA will still apply unless the client has accepted that their name and content will be displayed.
• Pre-Payment: For some translation projects, a pre-payment may be required before the commencement of work. The pre-payment amount will be specified in the project quotation and is non-refundable.
• Cancellation and Refunds: Cancellation of translation services must be communicated in writing. Refunds are subject to the stage of completion of the project.
  The pre-payment is non-refundable once work on the translation project has begun. In the event of project cancellation by the client, the pre-payment serves to cover initial project-related expenses.
• Large Projects and Milestone Payments: For large-scale projects exceeding a specified threshold, milestone payments may be implemented. The project will be divided into distinct phases, and payment milestones will be communicated in advance. Clients are required to make part payments at these milestones as outlined in the project agreement.
• Milestone Definitions: Milestones will be defined based on project progress, and part payments will be due upon the successful completion of each defined milestone. The specific milestones and corresponding payment amounts will be detailed in the project agreement.
• Project Commencement: Work on the project will commence upon receipt of the pre-payment. Further milestones and associated payments will follow according to the agreed-upon schedule.
• Final Payment: The final project payment is due upon successful completion and delivery of the entire translation project. The client will have the opportunity to review the project and request reasonable revisions within the scope of the initial agreement.
• Late Payments: Payments not received within the stipulated timeframe may result in project delays or suspension until the outstanding amount is settled. Late payment fees may also be applied.
• Modification of Terms: Kjetil Strandos reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Clients will not be notified of any changes, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
